Quiet Sail Program
Where Sailing Meets Presence
Quiet Sail is a small, intentionally paced sailing experience grounded in trauma-informed principles and therapeutic presence. It offers quiet time on the water in a calm, supportive setting—where rhythm, movement, and the natural environment may support reflection and regulation.

Meet Angini Mohammed

Angini has been sailing since a young age and grew up in the Caribbean, immersed in nature and life on the water from early on. Sailing has long been both a passion and a place of grounding—whether racing and engaging with the excitement, focus, and teamwork that comes with it, or cruising and settling into quieter rhythms.

Over time, sailing also became an important support in her own trauma recovery, offering regulation, perspective, and a sense of steadiness that words alone could not always provide. Quiet Sail grew from this lived experience and a desire to share the restorative potential of sailing with others in a way that is careful, respectful, and held with professional care.

Why Sailing Can Support the Therapeutic Process?
Might be a good fit if you're looking for:
2-Hour Therapy & Sailing Session Format
A combined 1 hour sailing + 1 hour land-based therapy to enhance your therapeutic journey.
Trauma-informed & Consent-based
The session combined session is your choice, at your pace and with your comfort in mind.
A Calm & Supportive Setting
The incorporation of sailing is to aid in reflection and regulation during the therapy component.

Quiet Sail may be of interest if you’re navigating stress, trauma, recovery from substance use, or patterns of addiction and you’re looking for supportive experiences alongside your broader care. This offering is intentionally not performance-based. The emphasis is on steadiness, containment, and respectful presence rather than outcomes.

Quiet Sail is not a sailing lesson and does not replace psychotherapy, addiction treatment, or other clinical services. It may complement recovery-oriented approaches by offering structured, supportive time that emphasizes regulation, choice, and connection.
Part 1: On the Water (1 hour)
-
A quiet, intentionally paced sail in a calm, supportive setting
-
You’re welcome to sit quietly, notice your surroundings, and let the water’s rhythm support regulation
Optional participation (always your choice):
Some participants may wish to engage more physically—handling lines, responding to the wind, and immersing in the rhythm of the boat—always at their own pace and by choice.
Part 2: On Land (1 hour)
-
A traditional in-person therapy session on land
-
Space to reflect on what came up, integrate insights, and connect the experience to your goals
No pressure to perform or talk:
There is no expectation to speak or engage in any particular way; sessions are guided by consent, safety, and responsiveness to individual comfort.
On the water, many people notice:
-
A shift into the present moment (wind, water, movement, horizon)
-
A calmer nervous system state through rhythm and sensory grounding
-
Perspective and spaciousness—a break from the pace and noise of everyday life
Quiet Sail is designed to support reflection and regulation through a non-traditional, experiential setting while remaining careful, respectful, and professionally held.
